Linking Israeli Startups to Entrepreneurs who know your Market

Link-IL helps Israeli startups connect with US market experts. Founded by EFI and Prof. Mark Cohen (Justin Potter Professor of American Competitive Analysis, Emeritus, at Vanderbilt University), it pairs startups with seasoned professionals. To apply, startups submit a one-page overview including their stage, funding, website, and goals. Startups that are admitted to the program will receive weekly meetings with their mentors, for a period that will be decided by both sides.

EFI - Entrepreneurship Forum Israel (formerly known as MIT -Massachusetts Institute of Technology Enterprise

Forum) is the oldest, most professional body in Israel to promote and support technological entrepreneurship.

The Forum is an international non-profit organization, which was established in 1978 by MIT graduates (Commencing activity in Israel -1994).

What We Do

The Forum provides high-level professional consulting services, Initiates and produces professional workshops and conferences, and offers them, to entrepreneurs, at subsidized prices.

The forum's management consists of entrepreneurs and key people in the Israeli high-tech industry.

For Whom

For years, the Forum has been helping entrepreneurs and companies that have identified a market need to grow their solution from an idea to a successful start-up.

All our tools, knowledge, and experience are at your service to enable you to overcome the difficulties and challenges you face from the initial concept stage to managing your own successful start-up or even to your big exit!

Thanks to the 2020 MIT She entrepreneur accelerator, I went through two major pivots. One is business-wise and the other is personal. I realized that I’ve been presenting and storytelling my business in the wrong manner. In addition, with the new tools I gained, I was able to pivot my business model, identify my real market, first users and assess the initially expected revenues. I truly believe that now, with my new pitch, We will finally succeed in fundraising.

I have participated in MIT enterprise Israel & the American Embassy - 2020 She entrepreneur program. The program you designed gave us in a short time a glance into most aspects of our responsibilities. It was presented most professionally & friendly. Beyond the lectures and experts, you have invested time and expertise to direct each of us to our specific challenges. Participating in an MIT company review is not only a great consulting opportunity, but also a PR opportunity, especially since expert panels are always composed of industry leaders and luminaries, and attendance is typically high. When I presented Mysticom at the Forum, we had Kamran Elahian and Avigdor Willenz on the panel. I received great business advice, as well as good publicity. Foreign investors were present and that led to a few real contacts

Following a recommendation made by Ofakim Incubator CEO Yoram HaLevy, OmniVee participated in a MIT Forum brainstorming session organized by the Forum's Executive Director, Ayla Matalon. The Forum proposed a list of relevant potential consultants, and ended up building a well-balanced panel which included Dr. Shlomo Kalish, Founding Partner of Jerusalem Global Ventures, and Yoav Avtalion, Co-founder of NICE. The meeting was short and focused. Omnivee ended up having its downside very explicitly put, and benefited from a few key suggestions for the best course of action. Thanks to the turnaround suggested on the brainstorming session, the company was sold, within 12 months, at a valuation 10 times the investments made.
